Godzilla: King of the Monsters (review)

Hi, everyone. Yesterday I watch this movie, and I have some fresh impressions that I want to talk about.

First of all, I want to tell that first film from 2014 I really liked, there were too few moments with monsters, but the movie, in general, was something new in this genre. This movie is direct continue, and I waited for it. One more detail, I watched this movie in IMAX, and I believe that this movie created especially for IMAX, and in other, old type 3d cinema, could look much weaker.

So, what about the movie? I liked it, monsters are interesting, visual effect absolutely amazing, sound effects instantly great, fights are intriguing, and the movie not boring at all. The only thing that I don’t like is the human line of the plot. It’s not logic, predictable, and characters not interesting. I know that this movie is not about humans, but it still making some negative impressions.

One of the good sides of this movie is monsters behavior. Each of them has its temper (even each separate head of King Ghidorah), and they look like live creatures, not like CJI effects (like in Pacific Rim). Also, the very interesting thing is hollow Earth theory, that was used here (I’ll not tell more because it will be spoilers).

My score is 4.5 from 5, the human line in the plot is not so important for me in such a movie, and everything else here is great.

P.S.: Don’t forget to watch the final scores, there will be a lot of interesting information about the future of this series.
